Essential Parts Of Air Compressors

Air compressors are designed and based on one of two mechanisms – a positive displacement mechanism or a positive-negative displacement mechanism. The displacement mechanism pushes air into the chamber where the air volume is reduced causing compression.

Depending on the type of mechanism the air compressor is based on, its structure, components, design, size, etc. You can also buy screw air compressors through various online sites.

The displacement mechanism has one or more moving pistons which, through the constant motion of these pistons, push and pump air into the air chamber. These air compressors have a one-way valve that draws air into this chamber, where it is compressed.

A separate set of simple motors, or rather a "swivel screw" compressor, pushes air through two screw mating screws that rotate and draw air into this air chamber. The air drawn in this way reduces its volume as the blades rotate.

Some products based on this mechanism include simple garden tools such as a leaf blower or even a blow mechanism for your household vacuum cleaner.

Of all the types of air compressor-based devices or products available in the market, air conditioners are one of the most common household electrical appliances.

In air conditioning systems, and inert gas-based refrigerant that absorbs heat from the intake air is usually pumped through a fine network of pipes.
